Tony’s amateur career was short, primarily limited to the few events he participated in during high school. At 16, he won the Utah State Amateur and became a professional at seventeen.
Despite receiving offers for basketball scholarships to colleges, Tony became a professional at 17, participating in mini-tours like the National Pro Tour, NGA Hooters Tour, and Gateway Tour.
In 2009, Tony and his brother Gipper participated in The Big Break on the Golf Channel. He placed second on the Disney Big Break golf course. In 2013, Tony participated in eight events on the PGA Tour Canada, making seven cuts. He received his 2014 Web.com Tour card after finishing T-3 at the 2013 Web.com Tour qualifying school.
