Plot
Sicario (2015) begins with an FBI agent, Kate Macer, and his partner, Reggie Wayne, finding a shocking scene at a Mexican drug cartel hideout. These agents were appointed by CIA agents Matt Graver and Alejandro Gillick to catch a dangerous drug cartel leader, Manuel Diaz.
Macer and Wayne head towards Mexico and kidnap Diaz’s brother, Guillermo. However, the situation got worse due to their actions. As the mission unfolds, Macer realizes that it’s more than just catching the drug trade.
During a tense showdown, Gillick takes the matter into his own hands and executes Diaz and his boss, seeking revenge for his family’s murder. Macer struggles with the consequences of her actions as Gillick forces her to sign off from the mission.
The movie concludes with Kate Macer finding herself in the middle of the choices she’s made while the cycle of violence continues on both sides of the border.
